About Prof. Peter Appiahene
An Associate Professor with over 10 years teaching experience in the Computer Science industry and academic institutions both domestic and international. Team player with excellent administrative skills and effective leadership style that promote a simulating working environment. Excel in dynamic demanding environment while remaining pragmatic and focused with the ability to successfully work to tight schedules and deadlines. As a professional teacher, I also have the ability to teach and develop others to achieve their full potentials. I have a PhD in Computer Science with ICT4 Development, Data Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence and Digitization as my current research areas. I also have Algorithms and Theory, Artificial intelligence, Data Science, AR/VR, Graphics and Visualization and Information Systems as my current teaching areas. I am Reviewer for International refereed journals such as Journal of Supercomputing and conferences with a number of publications in International journals and conference proceedings. I am currently a Senior Lecturer and Head of Department of Information Technology and Decision Sciences at the University of Energy and Natural Resources, Ghana. I am also a member of the Governing Council of the University of Energy and Natural Resources. I am also a member of the Electoral Commission of Ghana appointed under Article 70 of the 1992 Constitution of Ghana
