The students' association in the Department of Information Technology and Decision Sciences (Information Technology Society -ITS) led by the president, HE. Abdulai Adjei Zakaria has generously donated four sets of Public Address (P.A.) systems and wireless microphones worth Fifteen Thousand Ghana Cedis (Gh¢15,000) to the Department of Information Technology and Decision Sciences. This donation was motivated by the urgent need to enhance teaching and learning in our department, given the large number of students the department currently serves. The ITS leadership, in consultation with the head of the department, identified this need and kindly offered to purchase this essential equipment.
The donation ceremony was held at the Vice Chancellor's Office, where we had the privilege of being joined by a number of esteemed guests, including the Vice Chancellor, the Registrar, the Head of the Department of Information Technology and Decision Sciences (ITDS), the Dean of the School of Sciences, and the Head of Estate, all of whom are distinguished members of the university The Vice-Chancellor expressed his heartfelt gratitude and delight, commending the Association for their consistent philanthropic efforts. He noted that this is the second donation of the Association's generous support to the University.
The Vice-Chancellor concluded by saying that he eagerly anticipates even more substantial donations from the Association in the future.
