Femitech 2025 Conference
The Femitech Conference, held virtually on Friday, 7th March 2025, at the Ghana-India Kofi Annan Centre of Excellence in ICT, provided an insightful platform focused on empowering women in technology. Centered on the theme "Harnessing Artificial Intelligence for Sustainable Development: Hype or Reality," the event featured renowned speakers including Hon. Samuel Nartey George, Dr. G. Ayorkor Korsah, Oheneyere Augustina Osei, and Ing. Prof. Elsie Effah Kaufmann. Key discussions revolved around the transformative role of AI, innovation through robotics, and leadership in STEM, along with panel interactions that inspired reflection on the current gender gap in technology.
While the conference was impactful, virtual participation posed certain challenges. Attendees experienced occasional technical difficulties, including audio glitches and connection lags.
