The idea of the project design, development, and analysis of AI-driven application and machine learning that will be utilised to mediate job matching are offered in the specified project. The system has been developed on the MERN stack with a few extra features where the OpenAI API is used to create job descriptions and to try to match the job with the candidate. The study targeted the new reality of equity, discrimination and accountability in the process of hiring, specifically the Ghana labour market, according to artificial intelligence. The findings have demonstrated that the platform is effective in terms of time-to-hire reduction, value addition to the suitability between the applicant and vacancy, and high levels of user satisfaction, although there also exist such negative issues as algorithmic bias and the inability of AI to address all of the soft skills. The project contributes to developing the idea of how the global AI trends could be adjusted to a local recruiting process and offers the ground for further research on the ethical, inclusive, and scalable AI-based recruiting process.
Research Area
Web App Development: Web Development research in Computer Science and Information Technology focuses on the design, creation, and optimization of websites and web applications that are accessible over the internet or private networks. This research area spans a variety of topics, including front-end and back-end development, web frameworks, web performance, user experience (UX) design, security, and emerging web technologies.
Front-end development research explores the design and functionality of the user-facing side of web applications. This involves studying languages such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, as well as popular frameworks like React, Angular, and Vue.js, which help create dynamic, responsive, and interactive user interfaces. Researchers in this area often focus on improving the accessibility and usability of websites across different devices and browsers.
Back-end development focuses on the server side of web applications, where databases, server logic, and application functionality are managed. Research in this area includes database management, server configuration, APIs (Application Programming Interfaces), and the use of frameworks such as Node.js, Django, and Ruby on Rails. It also involves optimization of server-side processes to handle large-scale traffic, improve load times, and ensure seamless data processing.
Project Main Objective
To come up with, design, and test an easy to use and scalable AI-based recruitment system that allows the simplification of the job-matching process and provides fairness, transparency, and efficiency.
