This project describes the development of a Food Delivery App platform connecting local artisanal food vendors with customers. However, the student faces significant obstacles such as the inconvenience of waiting for lectures to close before heading to restaurants or fast food places to join queues is very frustrating for most UENR students. The app will enable students to discover, order, and enjoy unique, handmade food products from local food. The proposed system will facilitate easy registration, ordering, and tracking of their food with a user-friendly interface, secure payment processing, and real-time order tracking. Additionally, the platform will include an educational module to raise public awareness about food. This app aims to revolutionize the food delivery experience in Sunyani.
The project is to change the food delivery experience in Sunyani by using modern technology to create a platform that creates accessibility for all. Through this app, students and teaching and non-teaching staff will have the chance to explore a diverse range of local food to support small brick-and-mortar fast food joints. All with the hassle-free delivery experience. This will also contribute to the growth of local food vendors in the entire community.
Research Area
Mobile App Development: Mobile App Development research in Computer Science and Information Technology focuses on the design, development, and optimization of software applications for mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets. This area covers a wide range of topics, including user interface design, cross-platform development, mobile operating systems, performance optimization, and security.
One key aspect of research in this area is the development of efficient algorithms and frameworks that enable seamless cross-platform compatibility. Researchers explore ways to create apps that function smoothly on multiple operating systems, such as Android and iOS, using a single codebase, reducing development time and costs. This is often achieved through the use of frameworks like React Native, Flutter, and Xamarin.
User experience (UX) and user interface (UI) design are critical components of mobile app development research. Scholars in this field investigate how to create intuitive, responsive, and engaging interfaces that improve usability and enhance the overall user experience. This includes studying interaction patterns, accessibility, and how users interact with mobile apps across different devices and environments.
