As more consumers engage in cross- border trade through the use of e-commerce, transaction security has been a burning issue, with rising cases of cyber frauds and cyber-crimes. In this study, a hybrid model of cryptography comprising of AES encryption standard, ElGamal encryption and digital signatures is presented to enhance the security of cross border e-commerce transactions. Every technique has its function such that: AES encrypts transaction data using fast and robust symmetric cryptography, ElGamal deals with secure transmission of keys and digital signatures are for the authentication and integrity verification of transactions. These. In particular, boost the privacy, completeness and non-repudiation of e-commerce transactions. The model is evaluated for its security aspects features, applicability to realistic e-commerce systems and effectiveness (time performance). It was found that the protective measures of the hybrid model was able to prevent numerous cyber security attacks such as man in the middle, data leakage, unauthorized access, and at the same time maintain the effectiveness intended in the performance of large scale e-commerce. The study paves the way for the future cross-border e-commerce development by creating more secure and dependable systems making the customers and business trusts in the digital marketplaces more.
Research Area
Networking: Networking research in Computer Science and Information Technology delves into the fundamental and applied aspects of how computer systems connect and exchange data efficiently. It encompasses a wide range of topics such as network protocols, communication models, wireless and mobile networks, the Internet of Things (IoT), and network security.
One key area of research focuses on network protocols, which define how data is transmitted and received across networks. Protocol optimization is vital for enhancing the efficiency and speed of data transmission. Researchers investigate both wired and wireless communication protocols to improve latency, throughput, and fault tolerance.
Wireless communication is another rapidly evolving field, driven by the demand for mobile connectivity. Research here includes advancements in 5G and 6G technologies, as well as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and sensor networks. These technologies enable high-speed, reliable connections for a wide range of devices, from smartphones to embedded systems.
