This work sort to explore the idea of blockchain in enhancing the security and reliability of examinations processes in Ghana, especially with respect to question leakages. Using a mixed-methods strategy ,the research examines blockchain capability to enhance security in examinations systems. The study showcases the application of smart contracts and cryptographic primitives which, if implemented across examination infrastructure, can increase transparency in the examination process. The evidence gathered indicates that blockchain is an infallible, tamper-proof option to improve the trustworthiness of examinations. While challenges like the requirement of technical developers and well-establish infrastructure remains, yet the research provides an informative angle and specific implications for anyone seeking to incorporate blockchain in educational assessments. Future work should prioritize understanding the scalability of blockchain solutions in conjunction with emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence to enhance examinations security and other use cases in education.
Research Area
Artificial Intelligence: Artificial Intelligence (AI) research in Computer Science and Information Technology explores the development of systems and algorithms that can perform tasks typically requiring human intelligence. These tasks include problem-solving, decision-making, learning, perception, and language understanding. AI research is a vast and interdisciplinary field, encompassing a variety of areas such as machine learning, natural language processing, computer vision, robotics, and cognitive computing.
Machine learning (ML) is a core component of AI research. It focuses on creating algorithms that allow computers to learn from data, improve over time, and make predictions or decisions without explicit programming. Subfields of ML include supervised learning, unsupervised learning, reinforcement learning, and deep learning, with applications ranging from image recognition to recommendation systems.
Natural language processing (NLP) is another critical area within AI research. It aims to enable machines to understand, interpret, and respond to human language. Researchers in NLP work on tasks like speech recognition, language translation, and sentiment analysis, making it possible for computers to interact with humans in a more natural and intuitive way.
Project Main Objective
This study attempts to analyse vulnerabilities in legacy examinations systems , as well as investigate how blockchain technology can be utilized to mitigate question leakages.
