The key management system created as part of this project addresses fundamental difficulties connected with our school's present manual logbook method. The current approach has shown to be ineffective and error-prone, requiring handwritten notes to track the issuance and return of office keys. A thorough Visual Basic.NET application has been created and put into use to handle these problems. This application addresses the need for efficient key management by enabling security personnel to record and monitor the issuance and return of keys. The system includes essential features such as user authentication with unique identification and passwords, a comprehensive dashboard for key activities, and robust database integration for secure data handling. The system's integration of a strong database guarantees precise data storage and retrieval, hence enhancing the effectiveness and dependability of key management. The application's user-friendly interface makes it easier to enter and retrieve data, gives instant access to important records, and improves security management in general. By automating key management processes, the system reduces human error, enhances accountability, and ensures that only authorized personnel have access to critical areas within the institution. The use of this program is anticipated to result in a more efficient key management procedure, lowering the possibility of misplacing or misusing keys and improving accountability inside the school.
Research Area
Web App Development: Web Development research in Computer Science and Information Technology focuses on the design, creation, and optimization of websites and web applications that are accessible over the internet or private networks. This research area spans a variety of topics, including front-end and back-end development, web frameworks, web performance, user experience (UX) design, security, and emerging web technologies.
Front-end development research explores the design and functionality of the user-facing side of web applications. This involves studying languages such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, as well as popular frameworks like React, Angular, and Vue.js, which help create dynamic, responsive, and interactive user interfaces. Researchers in this area often focus on improving the accessibility and usability of websites across different devices and browsers.
Back-end development focuses on the server side of web applications, where databases, server logic, and application functionality are managed. Research in this area includes database management, server configuration, APIs (Application Programming Interfaces), and the use of frameworks such as Node.js, Django, and Ruby on Rails. It also involves optimization of server-side processes to handle large-scale traffic, improve load times, and ensure seamless data processing.
Project Main Objective
This project's primary objective is to create a digital version of the manual key management system at University of Energy and Natural Resources’ security posts in order to increase key transactions' effectiveness, precision, and security
