Pricing is often time-consuming and inefficient in comparison across vendors in local markets, causing missed opportunities to Buyers and Sellers. Customers have to visit many stores to get the best deals physically and vendors find it difficult to access more people and be competitive. Market Price Comparison System The Market Price Comparison System is a web-based platform that has been formulated to deal with these challenges by facilitating price comparison in real-time and increased transparency of the market. This system has a three-user role design: Users, Vendors, and Admins. The end user is able to search the items, compare prices that have been offered in the market, and make wise purchase decisions according to their choice and economic means. Vendors will be allowed to place and manage product listings, update prices, monitor their sales performance, and see top-performing competitors, which will promote healthy competition. Admins monitor the platform and make sure it is compensated and in case of marketplace integrity. The system is developed with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and MySQL with a focus on efficiency, usability, and security. Unit, integration and user acceptance tests were also part of testing in which the functionality and reliability of the system were verified. The comments of users identified that it is user-friendly, convenient, and can be relied on to improve the involvement of the digital markets. Finally, the Market Price Comparison System is an easy, transparent, interactive system that is of value to price-aware consumers and to small business owners. The system aids in informed decision-making, market efficiency, and the local economy becoming more connected because it facilitates price comparisons and ensures fair competition among vendors.
